RWC, Roza which is in the vicinity of Shahjahanpur was commissioned in May 2008 with a capacity of 18400 MT. Unlike other RWCs, this is not used exclusively for transit storage. As of now, State Govt. of Uttar Pradesh is using the facility for storage and movement of food grains to different parts of the State and there is substantial scope for movement of food grains through rail by the state government and also by private parties. Due to government policies, private procurement of late has been discouraged. The state government has nominated only Central Warehousing Corporation & State Warehousing Corporation as its storage agency. Hence the company plans to exploit the avenues in liaison with CWC.
